Why We All Should Be Preppers…

The West Virginia chemical spill is awful and inexcusable, to say the least. We are only getting the information the Main Stream Media gives us. There is no telling how bad and long lasting this really is. You will never know when all of the sudden your water supply is cut off or poisoned and you are left to do without or be at the mercy of someone else to provide you with water. We will be praying for those folks affected by this.

Let this be a reminder to all of us that while water storage seems “boring” compared to home defense and wilderness survival , all preppers need to have storage options for water for a least a week (roughly 15 gallons per person in the house).  One great option I have found is the WaterBricks that allow for water storage to be stacked securely for limiting the amount of space taken up.

I posted two links below from Foxnews for you to read if you haven’t heard about this. Please comment below and let us know what is on your mind. Such a shame.

West Virginia chemical spill: Gov says tests are ‘encouraging,’ gives no timetable for water use

‘Chaos’ as West Virginia customers pack stores to buy water after chemical spill, federal gov’t opens investigation

SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV – JANUARY 10: West Virginia American Water customers line up for water at the Gestamp Plant after waiting hours for a water truck, only to have it empited in about 20 minutes on January 10, 2014 in South Charleston, West Virginia. West Virginia American Water determined Thursday MCHM chemical had “overwhelmed” the plant’s capacity to keep it out of the water from a spill at Freedom Industries in Charleston. An unknown amount of the hazardous chemical contaminated the public water system for potentially 300,000 people in West Virginia.
